Applications Now Open: FutureNeuro Summer Internship Programme 2026
Are you an undergraduate student considering a career in neuroscience? The FutureNeuro Summer Internship Programme 2026 is now open for applications, and we’d love to hear from you.
This competitive programme offers undergraduate students the opportunity to contribute to active research projects within the FutureNeuro Research Ireland Centre. Interns will work within active research teams across laboratory, clinical, or computational settings and will be supervised by investigators from the FutureNeuro network.
Whether your interests lie in neurological, neurodevelopmental, or neuropsychiatric research, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in translational brain science and explore what a career in research could look like.
The programme is designed for students considering a future PhD or research career in neuroscience, including within FutureNeuro.
Programme Details
Duration: 6–8 weeks (May–August 2026; dates agreed with your project supervisor)
Stipend: €250 per week
Positions Available: Approximately 5
Location: Based at the host supervisor’s academic institution (or hybrid, depending on the project). Garda vetting may be required.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are welcomed from undergraduate students who have completed third or fourth year of a life-science degree (e.g. physiology, biomedical science, biochemistry, genetics or a closely related discipline).
