Loretto Callaghan

Loretto Callaghan is an experienced pharmaceutical executive and non-executive director with a PhD in Pharmacology and extensive experience across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and healthcare sectors. She served as General Manager and Country President of Novartis Ireland from 2006 to 2019 and has held several senior board positions, including Non-Executive Director of Beaumont Hospital, where she chairs the Clinical Governance and Risk Committee. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Ireland’s Seafood Development Agency (BIM) and former Chair of PMD Solutions. A co-founder of Vzarii Therapeutics, a Trinity College Dublin spin-out developing gene therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, she brings expertise in strategic leadership, governance, risk management and translating scientific innovation into clinical and commercial impact. As Governance Chair of FutureNeuro, she supports the Centre’s strategic direction and commitment to advancing translational brain research.
