DEREK MORRIS is Professor of Human Genetics and Genomics at the University of Galway and a researcher within the Centre for Neuroimaging, Cognition and Genomics (NICOG). His research focuses on identifying genetic risk factors for psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders, using genome-wide association studies and sequencing approaches to better understand the biological pathways underlying brain function and cognition. In FutureNeuro, Professor Morris contributes expertise in psychiatric genomics and human genetics, supporting research on the genetic foundations of mental health and neurological disease through the DataGenChrono doctoral network.
