ANDREW COOGAN is a behavioural neuroscientist at Maynooth University and Director of the Chronobiology and Sleep Research Laboratory. His research examines circadian rhythms, sleep, and their impact on mental and physical health, with a particular focus on how everyday circadian disruption influences psychiatric and psychological outcomes. As a Funded Investigator in FutureNeuro, Professor Coogan contributes expertise in chronobiology and sleep science and co-leads the DataGenChrono doctoral network, which explores the genetic foundations of sleep and circadian biology in mental health.
