Epilepsy Traumatic Brain Injury

Ian Woods is a StAR Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Regenerative Medicine at RCSI. Funded by a prestigious Royal Society – Research Ireland University Research Fellowship, his research investigates the use of biomaterials, gene therapies and electrical fields to promote central nervous system repair. He leads a multidisciplinary team of neuroscientists, biomedical engineers and material scientists aiming to develop biomaterial-based therapies and biohybrid medical devices for neurotrauma repair applications.
