Home•Our Research•Publications•Distinct fingerprints of tRNA-derived small non-coding RNA in animal models of neurodegeneration
Background
We aimed to identify unique signatures for three different neurodegenerative diseases: Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
Research
In these three diseases, we looked at differences in a group of molecules derived from transfer RNA molecules. Transfer RNAs are very abundant molecules that can generate disease-specific fingerprints.
Potential Impact
This research may deliver novel biomarkers for the detection and management of these diseases.
