DAVID COTTER is Prof of Psychiatry at RCSI and a Consultant Psychiatrist at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. His expertise is in the cytoarchitectural investigation of the brain and the role of neuronal and glial cell populations in schizophrenia, major depression and bipolar disorder. His proteomic studies have discovered protein biomarkers of psychosis risk. In FutureNeuro, his research endeavors to create innovative diagnostics predicting outcomes among those clinically at high risk for psychosis, complemented by his valuable contribution of Wellcome Trust funding.
